Project
The Mid-Atlantic Tourism Public Relations Alliance (MATPRA), a non-profit organization comprised of public relations professionals representing more than 65 travel destinations throughout the Mid-Atlantic United States. The organization operates as a group with the common interest of promoting travel to the Mid-Atlantic region of the U.S.
Client Needs
The matpra.org website was over ten years old, difficult to update, and primarily served as a platform to provide basic information on the organization and its member destinations. The site, however, provided very little information for travel journalists to engage with the organization and its members, or to promote travel to the Mid-Atlantic. MATPRA wanted to make its website more modern with updated functionality, a more attractive appearance, and capacity to better engage with its membership and with journalists. Additionally, a survey of MATPRA members and feedback from others strongly suggested that a new logo was needed.
Solution
DatAchieve provided MATPRA with an attractive, mobile-friendly website that better reflects the organization, serves as an online hub for its members, and incorporates the on-site and social media tools necessary to promote its activities to journalists and the public. The new matpra.org site includes an interactive map of destinations, searchable by activities and categories, the ability to pay dues and make online reservations for events and activities, detailed information about member destinations, and a private membership area. DatAchieve also provided MATPRA with a new logo that incorporates its member states within a distinct “map-pin” design.
