The UNICOR Annual Report was printed in two-colors with die-cutting and a short cover fold to invite the reader to explore the content. The publication made creative use of the limited color palette with duotone photo reproduction throughout the text. You may select the image at right to view enlargement or view a PDF below.

Designed by Tammi Bricker while employed with KOTA in Frederick, Maryland, the UNICOR Annual Report included art direction, photography, graphic design, and print production. UNICOR, also know as Federal Prison Industries, Inc., is a wholly owned government corporation created to help train and rehabilitate inmates Federal Bureau of Prisons. FPI is restricted to selling its products and services to Federal government agencies and has no access to the commercial market.

CBS Builders

CBS Builders

cbs_buildersCBS Builders is a fast-growing home builder located in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia. Faced with a decreased demand for new homes, CBS needed a way to maintain market position on a limited advertising budget.

DatAchieve provided CBS with a web site that features an overview of the builder’s communities as well as individual home tours and floor plans. This was combined with a Google Adword campaign focused on Baltimore and Washington home buyers that showed immediate results, with inquiries through the site continuing to grow despite the down market.

alpomodor_largeAl Pomodoro Ristorante features a Southern Italian cuisine with a focus on  fine seasonal produce, fresh seafood, and homemade sauces.

With a continually changing seasonal menu, the restaurant needed a website that could be easily updated by busy staff. DatAchieve provided Al Pomodoro with a clean, fresh design that included complete content management, a set of menus that could be easily updated directly through the web browser, a calendar of upcoming events, and email subscribing to receive future menu updates and special offers.

maid_largeMaid to Perfection® is a cleaning service franchisor based in Kissimmee, Florida. The company currently has over 275 franchise units in 22 states. The April 1999 issue of Success Magazine ranked Maid to Perfection #1 for franchisee support and satisfaction.

As Maid to Perfection grew the original website no longer reflected the size or success of the company. DatAchieve was hired to provide a new design and to incorporate content management as well as investor and franchisee inquiry and support tools.

Patuxent Directories

Patuxent Directories

patuxent_largeA division of the Chicago Tribune Companies, Patuxent Directories is a print and online advertising directory known as “The Black Book.” Based in Baltimore, Maryland, Patuxent needed an updated site that would offer staff the ability to maintain content as well as provide a way for field sales representatives to stay in touch with company management and advertising clients to securely review and approve proofs.

DatAchieve provided Patuxent Directories with an fresh design that incorporated the existing color palette and reinforced the “Black Book” identity. The new site also features content that can easily be managed by company staff and private password-protected areas for advertising clients to review display ad proofs before publication.

Specializing in all types of foot and ankle treatment with a focus on Diabetic conditions, RFAI needed a web site that could provide patient education materials as well as access to orthotics and footwear.

DatAchieve provided RFAI with a site that features:

silver_swanAn upscale catering  service and wedding venue overlooking the Chesapeake Bay on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, the Silver Swan Bayside website features interactive Flash animation, food photography, menu selections, and event information. Silver Swan needed an updated site that better reflected the company’s existing print identity.

DatAchieve worked closely with Silver Swan to achieve a design that, while striking in its simplicity, quickly conveys the beauty of the waterfront setting and the sophistication of the food selections.

The site features:

  • Content that is easily managed by Silver Swan staff;
  • RSS feeds of site updates;
  • Photo and event galleries.

Life & Discovery

Staffed largely by volunteers, Life & Discovery quickly outgrew its original informational website and needed to find a way to more-effectively engage members and promote a dialog with the surrounding community. The new Life & Discovery website and tools have enabled the association to better organize volunteers and staff and provides a more cohesive identity for the organization.
